45 Years Teaching experience: Mr. Young began teaching private music lessons in 1972. In 1973 he taught piano at Gahanna Music Center and has been teaching music lessons at Linton Milano's Music continuously for 24 years. He has taught music in Mesa and Tempe Public Schools for 10 years, conducting and directing: bands, orchestras and choirs. He has served for 25 years as a professional music adjudicator and professional pianist. Mr. Young also teaches voice, singing, music theory, piano, electronic keyboard and conducting in two music studios. For five years Mr. Young has conducted bell, youth and children’s choirs as a full time professional Staff Member in the United Methodist Church.
Mr. Young was honored by Hal Leonard the largest music publishing company in the world by being selected to be the professional musician to analyze and evaluate their new music teaching lesson materials.
Mr. Young is a certified public school teacher and a certified college professor teaching at Rio Salado College, Mesa Community College, Vanderbilt University and Ohio State University.
